Arthropods are invertebrates.
They are bilaterally symmetrical animals.

There are 3 parts to an arthropod
1. Head
2.Thorax
3.Abdomen
There are four different sub phylums :
Uniramia - ex; butterflies, house flies, bees, praying mantis
Crustacea - ex; crabs, crayfish
Chelicerata - ex; spiders, sea scorpions
Trilobita - ex; trilobites
The athropod's method of feeding and digestion is the tube within a tube body plan... This means they have extxracellular digestion.
BODY PLAN:
Arthropods have jointed limbs and cuticles which are mainly made of chitin.
The cuticles of crustaceans are also produce minerals with calcium carbonate.
Their rigid cuticle supresses growth, so they replace their skin frequently by molting.
Their body consists of repeated segments, each with a pair of legs.
What kind of body plan do Arthropods have?
A. assymmetical, with jointed appendages.
B. radial, without jointed appendages.
C. bilateral, with jointed appendages.
D. bilateral, without jointed appendages.
